Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved the judgment on the petitions filed against PUBG game after hearing the arguments from both the sides. Justice Amir Farooq of IHC took up the case for hearing Tuesday.
Counsel for PUBG company told the court they had attended PTA July 09 meeting. PTA informed them about the hearing of the case. But when we went there, a consultative meeting was held therein.
Justice Amir Farooq remarked ” PTA should have called psychologist and sought his opinion that what impact this game leaves. The court inquired under what law you imposed ban on the game.
PTA’s lawyer said “We found certain anti Islam material therein therefore we clamped ban. The court inquired tell us where you have written in the minutes of meeting what material is anti Islam. You have to apply your mind what action you have to take and it has to be written.
Counsel for PTA said certain immoral scenes come in PUBG games.
Justice Amir Farooq remarked it has become habit that everything be shifted to other side. PTA has to apply its own mind no matter what others say.
Justice Amir Farooq while addressing the counsel remarked you have said applications have been received then we close it. In what complaint it is said that it runs contrary to teachings of Islam.
Counsel for PTA told the court situation had been created such that that we had to suspend PUBG.
The court remarked you have to take decision as per law rather than situation. The games are here which are perhaps more provocative than this. The court reserved the judgement.
