A walk was arranged on the occasion of World Kidney Day at Kidney Centre Bahawal Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur to create awareness regarding kidney diseases among masses. Principal Quaid e Azam Medical College Prof Dr. Khawaj Fiyaz and Head of Kidney Centre Dr. Shafqat Ali Tabsum lead the walk. A number of professors, doctors, nurses and paramedic staff also participated. Participants carrying placards and banners inscribed with different advices as how to overcome kidney ailments. Addressing the participants, Speakers said that the purpose of the Walk knowledge was to raise awareness about the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the diseases to the masses. Speakers said that the main causes of the kidney problems happened to be consumption of substandard water, diabetes and blood pressure problems. They said everyone citizen should consult doctor for kidneys check up to keep themselves protected from surgery and transplantation.
