Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar on Thursday said that PTI government would continue to expose at every forum the massive human rights violations and the callous acts of Indian government against minorities in Kashmir.
Pakistan stands the innocent Kashmir’s and would continue to support them at international level for their right to self-determination granted to them by the United Nations Security Council.
Addressing a press conference at London, Ch Sarwar said that for the last 70 years India has been using propaganda tactics against Pakistan and this was very unfortunate that the world community used to listen to the lies of India. However, he said their government had decided to show to would the real face of the Modi government.
Sarwar ask how a country could blame Pakistan when they are refusing to allow media, human rights organisations and even international parliamentarian to enter the Kashmir valley.
Governor Sarwar who is visiting the UK and Europe to address the concerns of the members countries regarding GST status and brief them about the government steps to implement the treaty rights said that during his visit to Brussel and Portugal he had meetings with more than 30 influential members of EU Parliament including the chairperson of Human rights and head of the foreign affairs committee.
During these meeting, Sarwar said that he informed the EU parliamentarian that Pakistan is only county with the GST status that had set up a treaty implementation cells both at federal and provincial level. In this regard, he said any concerns received from the commission or mission aboard are being immediate addressed.
Sharing details with media, Sarwar said that last week the EU commission conveyed some concerns about Labour inspections and rights in Pakistan however the government within two days addressed their reservations. Ch Sarwar claimed that since Pakistan acquired the GST Status from the EU in December 2013, the country exports has increased by 15 billion dollar and only Pakistan’s exports to EU zone has gone up by 51 %. He said the continuity of GST status for Pakistan is vital for the country economy, strengthening of democracy, rule of law and harmony.
About the minority’s rights in Pakistan, the Punjab governor said that PM Imran Khan has been following the vision of the Quaid-i-Azam in the country who promised complete equality to all the citizens.
He said that a new system of local government would be introduced in Punjab with complete devolution of power. In this regard, he claimed that like KPK 30 % of developmental funds would be transfer to the village council. He said also said that PTI government wants to reform the bureaucracy and would make it completely free and independent from all political interference.
