The National Accountability Bureau on Sunday arrested Zabardast Mahar, a former UC nazim and the influential political figure of Ghotki. The NAB Sukkur arrested Zabardast Mahar during a raid at his residence in Rohri. According to sources, Mr Mahar is the alleged ‘frontman’ of provincial Transport Minister Syed Owais Qadir Shah. The Sindh High Court had granted the pre-arrest bail to Zabardast Mahar till October 16. “Mr Mahar has been taken into custody for investigation,” NAB sources said.
