Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad said Prime Minister is taking all the possible measures to tackle the economic difficulties of the country. Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Saturday, he said all steps are being taken to provide safe, comfortable and modern travelling facilities to the masses.
He said Pakistan Railways have overhauled thirty rusty locomotives and railways stations of Lahore cantonment. Kot Lakhpat and Raiwind are being upgraded to reduce burden on the Lahore Railways Station, he informed.
The Minister said that he will inaugurate the Sir Syed Express on the thirtieth of this month. He said that the encroachments on the Karachi Circular Railways will also be removed.
Condemning the terrorist attacks on the troops, Sheikh Rashid said that Pakistan Army is the best force of the world which has been rendering valuable services in war on terror.
He said that all the looters and thieves have joined hands in their opposition against Imran Khan. The politics of Shahbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif are different. He said that Shahbaz Sharif is still playing both sides of the wicket. The opposition lacks clean faces for lodging protest, he concluded.
