Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Saturday sought a performance report from the provincial ministers.
The ministers have been directed to prepare performance reports of their respective departments and submit to the CM’s Office. Guidelines have also been issued regarding preparing the performance report. The ministers will prepare performance reports of their departments in the light of the guidelines issued in this regard. They have been further directed to prepare performance report on the policy reforms and progress on key initiatives of the government.
Departments will also provide information on the implementation on the development programme, progress on the automation and online service delivery and details on steps taken to create ease and facilitate public-private partnerships and business. The provincial minsters have been asked to provide details about the initiatives taken for the welfare and betterment of the people, amendments in the existing and new legislation, steps taken for austerity, details have regarding reforms and future targets. The performance report will be made public.
Meanwhile, the chief minister said that a monitoring mechanism has been evolved at every level and tele-monitoring is being carried out for the timely and transparent completion of development projects which yielded desirable results.
During a meeting with federal minister and assembly members, Buzdar said development projects are need of people of the province and their timely completion is utmost necessary. The purpose of monitoring is to ensure the transparency. Looting and plundering in development projects is part of past.
He said intentional delay in development projects of far flung areas especially southern Punjab will not be tolerated, adding that development projects completed with hard-earned money of the people no one will be allowed to looting and plundering. He said that he is personally reviewing the development projects by visiting different cities. “Government is minutely monitoring on every major and small development project. Irregularity will not be tolerated,” he added.
Those who met the chief minister include Federal Minister Sahibzada Mehboob Sultan, Amir Sultan MNA, MPA Rana Shahbaz Ali and Umer Farooq.
The chief minister strongly condemned the attack on the vehicle of security forces in district Katch of Balochistan. He extended heartfelt sympathies with the family members of martyrs. He paid tributes to the martyred major and jawans for the motherland and said that those who embraced martyrdom are the real heroes and nation will remember their sacrifices. He said that terrorists cannot defeat the courage of nation with their coward activities and the nation is united in war against terrorism.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar in his message on the occasion of Mother Day and said that affection of mother is a universal emotion/sentiment which does not require any day or occasion, adding that love with mother and serving her is the basic responsibility of every individual. He said that he salutes to the mothers of martyred who rendered sacrifices for the motherland. He said that Allah Almighty raise the status of mother by resembling its love with the affection of mother. He said that he especially prayer for the health and well-being of mothers on this day.
Buzdar said that his chief ministership is due to prayers of his mother, adding that he need mother’s prayers for even today for the success.
