Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan has failed to submit the remaining amount of fine in the Dubai flat case as the deadline expired on Tuesday.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) officials informed that PM Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan has not submitted the amount of Rs 2.21 crore so far.
Earlier, the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) revealed that Aleema owns a company named Cotcom Sourcing Pvt Ltd.
“Imran Khan’s sister is presently the chief executive officer of Cotcom Sourcing Pvt Ltd, whereas her sons Shahrez Azeem Khan and Shershah Khan are directors,” SECP data showed.
According to the documents, the company paid Rs 1,827,000 tax for the financial year 2016, Rs 3,282,000 for the financial year 2015 and Rs 2,490,000 for the financial year 2014.
For the financial year 2013, Aleema paid Rs 2,062,000 tax, Rs 158,000 for the year 2014, Rs 186,000 for the year 2015 and Rs 130,000 for the year 2016.
It is pertinent to mention that Supreme Court took notice of Aleema’s property abroad and issued notices to Federal Investigation Agency director general and FBR chairman along with other parties.
Finance Minister Asad Umar had also claimed to have traced 4,000 illegal properties of Pakistanis in Dubai.
He revealed that the authorities have also detected 95,000 bank accounts of Pakistanis in 27 different countries.
