RAJANPUR: A 13-year-old victim who was raped in Rajanpur has given birth to a child. The child is the sole evidence who will lead the court to the alleged rapist.
According to media reports, the victim’s family told media that the girl used to take tuitions in the neighbourhood where 40-year-old Kashif allegedly raped her.
The case was not proceeded further due to lack of evidence when the family went to court. The father decided to bring child in the world as it would be sole evidence for the victim in case.
The girl gave birth on November 17, 2016 followed by a DNA test to which was held by local court to determine parenthood.
However, the key accused in the case failed to appear in the court during the last two proceedings. The hearing will resume on March 16 (today).
As media reports, the girl’s father vowed to get his daughter justice.
“We are poor people. We expect the court to give us justice,” said the victim.
