ISLAMABAD: The newly-appointed Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) – General Zubair Mahmood Hayat – called on the Navy Chief Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah as a debut visit after assuming the office as chairman.
Upon arrival at the Naval Headquarters, the dignitary was received by the navy chief and was presented with the ‘Guard of Honour’. The naval chief then introduced the visiting dignitary to the principal staff officers.
General Hayat was briefed on the navy’s role in the regional maritime security situation and operational development in the Indian Ocean region.
Admiral Zakaullah– during the meeting – congratulated the CJCSC on his promotion and said that the naval force will continue its endeavours to enhance synergy and seamless integration in operational and other inter-services matters under auspices of the worthy chairman.
The admiral hoped that the armed forces of Pakistan will further progress and maintain their forceful posture under the command of the new general – who expressed his entire satisfaction over the operational readiness and strenuous efforts of the Pakistan Navy and makingthe maritime defence of the country impregnable.
Hayat assured that he will work in close coordination with the armed forces to enhance inter-services cooperation and transform them into potent and integrated forces of the region.
