Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Thursday said that the Prime Minister Imran Khan has lost the confidence of the parliament, hence he should either tender his resignation or dissolve assemblies, or else no confidence move will send him packing.
In a statement issued Khuhro said getting a confidence vote despite losing confidence of the parliament is in fact a failed face saving effort. He said the prime minister can go home through no confidence vote hence he should resign, and early elections be held. Khuhro said that a caretaker government should be formed for three months after having parleys with the parliamentary parties which should ensure free, fair and transparent elections.
He said that the chair of Tabdeeli Sarkar (Government of change) is swinging, and the march-past has already started in government treasuries before the long march. He termed victory of Yousuf Raza Gillani from Islamabad, as open no confidence against Imran Khan’s government because, he added, his own members and allies now want to get rid of him. If the prime minister does not tender resignation, then his fate will not be different than that of dictator Pervaiz Musharraf, Khoro added.
He said the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) led long march will begin from Karachi on 26th March, which will be led by PPP’s Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, for which preparations are afoot. He claimed that a government, which is the enemy of the people, will be sent home through the PDM platform, and the government will not be able to rule. Khuhro emphasized that it will be the PDM leaders meeting, which will decide the Senate chairman. He further added that PDM will contest elections if held prior to schedule under a planned manner.
