The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab arrested 15 terrorists including dangerous Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist during 180 Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) in different cities in view of terrorism concerns. According to the CTD spokesman, IBOs were conducted in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Multan, Toba Tek Singh, Muzaffargarh, Attock, Mianwali, Faisalabad and Chiniot during which dangerous terrorist was also arrested. According to the spokesman, explosive materials, explosive vests, 18 detonators, 47 feet of protective fuse wire, an IED bomb, a Prima card, mobile phones and cash were recovered from the Punjab terrorists. The spokesman said that the terrorists have been identified as Hafiz Abdul Malik, Noor Rahim, Noor-ul- Amin, Aziz, Riaz, Ikram Khan, Ejaz, Abdul Wahab, Yar Gul, Ali Shah, etc., who were planning an attack. According to the spokesperson, 225 suspects were arrested during 714 combing operations in this month, and 19,670 people were questioned. The spokesperson added that CTD is committed to rooting out the scourge of terrorism, following the goal of safe Punjab.
