ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan is “habitual of taking orders from above”.
“Imran Khan is habitual of taking orders from above and the nation will reject Imran because everyone knows what ‘orders from above’ means,” Nawaz Sharif said while speaking to the media outside the accountability court.
Referring to CM Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak’s ‘orders from above’ remarks, Nawaz said that “the CM had said so out of honesty. The orders never came from the Bani Gala and we all know it.”
Earlier this week, CM KP had clarified that he was referring to Imran Khan when he told Sirajul Haq that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has received orders from above to vote for Balochistan’s Sadiq Sanjrani in Senate elections.
Continuing his tirade against the PTI chief, Nawaz said that such is the credibility of Imran’s “change” slogans that he takes orders from above to do so. “Imran Khan is humiliating the country’s politics,” Nawaz added.
The former premier also asked Khan to “reveal the forces behind these ‘fall of wickets'”. He added that the youth, which once sided with the PTI chief, is now abandoning him since they know “what change he aims to bring.”
