LAHORE: Dense fog continued to prevail in various areas of Punjab and Sindh, reducing traffic and causing the closure of several sections of the motorway on Saturday.
Officials told media that the M3 motorway, from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad, was closed completely due to zero visibility.
Meanwhile, fog in Karachi reduced the visibility at the airport to 30 meters. As a result of this, several domestic and international flights were delayed, causing inconvenience to passengers.
Dense fog also engulfed airports at Faisalabad.
According to officials, PK-744 from Medina to Karachi made a forced landing at Muscat Airport. Flights PK-763 from Faisalabad to Jeddah and PK-788 from London to Karachi were delayed. Moreover, flights from Karachi to Peshawar, Dubai, Panjgur, Lahore, Islamabad and Gwadar were also delayed.
