Panic gripped the citizens as certain areas of Dadu city were sealed after three cases of coronavirus were confirmed among beneficiaries of Ehsas Kafalat Programme in Dadu district on Monday.
According to Dadu DC Raja Shahzaman Khuhro, these three cases are of local transmission.
As soon as the three cases were confirmed, a high-level meeting of district administration Dadu was held at the DC house, which was presided over by Raja Shahzaman Khuhro.
It was attended by DHO Dadu, Dr Zahid Hussain Dawachh, ADC-1 Nazeer Soomro and AC Dadu, Mohammad Ali Baloch. Meeting proposed to establish the Corona Virus Quarantine centers at Sindh University Campus Dadu, IBA community college, political college in Mehar, Degree Colleges in Meharm KN Shah and Kakar and to seal the areas of from the positive cases were found in corona Virus disease.
Dadu DHO Dr Zahid Hussain Dawachh said that list of beneficiaries of Ehsas Kafalat programme was handed over them and it was directed by Sindh government to conduct tests of them randomly.
He said that three cases of positive of coronavirus confirmed from beneficiaries of Ehsas Kafalat programme like one woman from Gharaibabad mohalla of Dadu city, one from Daryani and one from Dewan villages of taluka Mehar. He said that tests of 33 beneficiaries of Ehsas Kafalat programme were conducted. He said that three cases confirmed positive out of 33 beneficiaries.
DC Dadu Raja Shahzaman Khuhro said that it was decided to seal the Ismail Bhurgari area of Gharibabad and areas of Dewan and Daryani villages as beneficiaries of Ehsas Kafalat programme found in positive in corona Virus related with these areas.
He said that it was proposed to establish Quarantine centers at Sindh University Campus Dadu, IBA community college, political college in Mehar, Degree Colleges in Meharm KN Shah and Kakar. He said that total 500 beds would be established at Quarantine centers. He said that it has already capacity of 100 beds at Isolation wards of Hepatitis center Dadu.
Under THO Dadu, Dr Jabbar Babar, the Ismail Bhurgari Street of Ghariababad Mohalla of Dadu city was sealed. A big number of police deployed.
Earlier, ADC-1 Nazeer Soomro visited the Sindh University campus Dadu and IBA community college Dadu for establishing quarantine centers.
While, SSP Dadu, Dr Farrukh Raza Malik visited the different parts of city and supervised security at sealed areas. SSP strictly directed police staff do not allow entering in this area which was sealed. AC Dadu, Mohammad Ali Baloch also visited the sealed areas and reported DC Dadu about situation of city.
