Indian Deputy High Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia was summoned to the Foreign Office on Wednesday and a strong protest was lodged over ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces along the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday. In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal said an elderly lady embraced martyrdom while three other civilians sustained serious injuries in the Indian Army’s indiscriminate and unprovoked firing in Nezapir and Bagsar sectors of LoC. He said Indian occupation forces along the LoC and Working boundary have continuously been targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-caliber mortars, and automatic weapons, which still continues. The Spokesperson said the deliberate targeting of civilian populated areas is indeed deplorable and contrary to human dignity, international human rights and humanitarian laws.
