Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has strongly condemned the martyrdom of Pak Army personnel by terrorists in North Waziristan.
Talking to the media late Friday night, she said terrorists have no religion. She said terrorists only wanted to ruin the world peace by killing innocent people. She said that every religion gives the lesson of love, peace, tolerance, brotherhood and respect for humanity.
Dr Firdous said that terrorism, militancy, insurgency and ignorance should be crushed at every cost to ensure durable peace around the globe. She said that world must appreciate Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war against terrorism. Pakistan was rendering sacrifices to weed out terrorism, as the whole of Pakistani nation stands united against terrorism and was ready to sacrifice even their lives while fighting terrorists, shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces of Pakistan.
“Pakistan had ever played a pivotal role for establishment of durable peace in the world,” she added. Dr Firdous said that the armed forces of Pakistan had played their frontline role in elimination of terrorism from the country under the National Action Plan (NAP).

She asked the opposition parties to stand united for the national cause letting their differences at side for countering the menace of terrorism from our motherland.
Talking to a Private news channel on Saturday she said, “Opposition needs to understand that politics can be forgotten for the sake of state as country is our identity”.
She termed this terror attack an eye opener for those who were being used by anti-Pakistan groups.
She stressed upon opposition parties to cooperate with the government regarding the issue and should raise their voice against these elements who were supporting the terrorists.
