Employees of Saindak Project observed strike and staged sit-in in front of Admn Block of the project in support of their demands. Employees of Saindak Copper and Gold Project in district Chagai, joint venture of Pak-China, went on strike in support of their demands. They are demanding raise in their salaries and medical allowance. More than 1600 employees are working in the Saindak Project. They said that majority of employees receive salary of less than Rs15000 per month. They said if their salaries were not increased and other demands not addressed, they would expand the scope of their protest.
