Injured in an operation against terrorists in Hayatabad the other day, Lance Naik Zafar Iqbal succumbed to injuries and embraced martyrdom on Saturday. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the funeral prayer of the martyred soldier was offered at Peshawar Garrison. The Peshawar corps commander and a large number of military and civil officials attended the funeral prayer of Zafar Iqbal. His body would now be taken to his native town Khushab, where he would be laid to rest with full military honour.
