KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani has declared Karachi as ‘The Cricket City’ for the upcoming fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The fourth edition of the PSL will begin from February 14 and the final match of the Pakistan’s biggest cricket league will be played on March 17 at Karachi.
Eight matches of PSL will be played in Pakistan where Karachi will host a total of 5 matches including the final match of the tournament at Karachi International Stadium.
Karachi Kings will take on Peshawar Zalmi in the first match on March 7, 2019. The other four matches will be: Karachi Kings vs Quetta Gladiators on March 10 Qualifier 1 vs Qualifier 2 on March 13, Eliminator 2 on March 15 and the final on March 17.
Commissioner Karachi while addressing to the meeting said that pictures and posters of cricket legends will be displayed across the city during the tournament match in Karachi.
“Special measures are being taken to make PSL matches successful and memorable and the surroundings of National Stadium,roads and intersections of the metropolis will be decorated,” he added.
