The ruling party’s parliamentary meeting was held at the Parliament House on Wednesday. Finance Minister Asad Umar headed the session, which was also attended by Minister of State for Revenue Hammad Azhar and MNA Amir Dogar.
The finance minister briefed the party members and ministers on the country’s financial woes. In addition, the committee also exchanged views on the aftermath of the alliance formed by the opposition a day earlier. During the session, the finance minister also briefed the party members about the upcoming mini-budget. On Tuesday, the opposition parties in the National Assembly agreed to close ranks against the federal government on crucial matters and formed a special committee to evolve joint strategies on important national issues.
