MIAN CHANNU: A two-year-old girl Komal died because she was not admitted to the emergency at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital which was closed because of Chief Minister Punjab’s visit to the hospital.
The chief minister’s protocol officer did not allow entry of the girl by locking the door despite repeated requests from the family. The girl was brought to the hospital in a critical condition medical attention could have saved her life, according to sources.
The family protested the girl’s death, who required medical attention for Thalassemia.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar visited Mian Channu to inspect the working of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital and to offer condolences to the family of a close friend.
