JACOBABAD: A Hindu woman, who was kidnapped from overcrowded Quetta Road area of the city at gunpoint, has been recovered from neighboring district Kambar-Shahdadkot.
The SSP office has confirmed the reports and told this scribe that a married Hindu woman, identified as Sandhiya Kumari, of 27, wife of Ravi Kumar, resident of Shah Ghazi Mohalla, was kidnapped when she along with her two kids and her mother-in-law was coming from a local Temple after worship and she alone kidnapped by two unidentified armed men in a corolla car.
After the hue and cry of mother-in-law of kidnapped woman, locals rushed on the spot and immediately alerted the police and the heirs of the woman.
Local leaders of Hindu community and the president of Jacobabad’s chamber of commerce along with a large number of Hindu community men rushed at Punchaiat Hall and strongly condemned the abduction of the Hindu woman.
Later, they blocked the Indus highway and shut the shops of markets demandingf the immediate recovery of kidnapped girl.
Police recovered abducted woman Sandhiya Kumari from the area next to Sasoli police post beside Kambar-Shahdadkot district. Two kidnappers, identified as Kiran Kumar, resident of Jacobabad, and Abdul Zahidr Brohi, resident of Balochistan province, were also held.
A case has been registered against the kidnappers on the complaint of Ravi Kumar, the husband of recovered woman, at City Police Station.
