WASHINGTON: The Government of the United States of America (USA) has decided to impose limitations on the movement of Pakistani diplomats.
The move is set to come into place on Friday.
The restrictions will be implemented in all four consulates. A notice has also been sent to the Pakistani embassy.
Under the new stipulations, diplomatic staff is limited to movement of only 25 miles from their designated consulate. If they want to travel farther distances, however, they have to take permission five days before travelling.
USA and Pakistan enjoyed friendly relations when the war on terror was at its peak, but their relationship has become increasingly unfriendly recently.
