LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday slammed the PML-N government for establishing Central Punjab as the focal point of its politics and for ignoring the rest of the provinces.
“PML-N government has made Central Punjab the focus of its politics, while it has deprived South Punjab, Sindh, KP and Balochistan and the provinces of their basic rights. We would not allow such a thing to happen,” Bilawal said while speaking to a rally in Quetta.
He criticised political leaders from across the country over their silence regarding the issue of missing persons in Balochistan. The PPP co-chief also commended the efforts of Pakistan’s armed forces for offering sacrifices to ensure peace and stability in the province.
Taking jabs at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lifetime president Nawaz Sharif, Bilawal said: “Nawaz’s problem is Imran and Imran’s problem is Nawaz. All the two want is the premiership.”
He continued that Nawaz tried to take credit for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), but the project is more visible in Lahore than in Quetta.
Bilawal also vowed to continue raising his voice until the National Action Plan (NAP) is fully implemented.
