ISLAMABAD: Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwala on Wednesday in a meeting with Ambassador of Japan said that Pakistan and Japan need to evolve bilateral trade activities.
He asserted that the volume of trade between the two countries must be increased as a Japanese trade with Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
Japanese Ambassador Takashi Kurai paid a courtesy call to Deputy Chairman Senate in his chamber at the Parliament House, according to a press release.
Senator Saleem advocated that Pakistan has been striving to achieve a healthy environment for the investors. “We are determined that the Senate of Pakistan would do better to design the environment more conducive and to attract businessmen and companies from Japan,” he said.
The Japanese Ambassador presented a few queries to the Deputy Chairman regarding new taxation policies and concerns of Japanese businessmen.
He assured the Ambassador that the Senate would perform responsibly to resolve the issues. He also stressed the need of communication between the two countries.
