TOKYO: National Security Adviser Lt Gen (r) Nasser Khan Janjua – who is on an official visit to Japan on the invitation of the Japan’s government – met with Japan Foreign Affairs and Intelligence Department Director General Kato and discussed the issues relating to bilateral cooperation in national security and other matters.
Kato appreciated the outcome of the Zarb-e-Azab operation, which was not only rewarding for Pakistan but also the international community, who would benefit from Pakistan’s peace and stability.
Later, the national security adviser met with his counterpart in Japan, Japan National Security Secretariat Secretary General Shotaro Yachi, who hosted a lunch in Janjua’s honour.
During the meeting, both the dignitaries discussed the cooperation possibility in the field of national security. Yachi also desired to visit Pakistan soon. National security adviser presented a shield to his counterpart of Japan.
Janjua also visited the Fuji School of Armed Forces in Japan and met with the commandant and the school’s faculty along with the trainee soldiers. The commandant of the school presented a shield to national security adviser to honour his visit to the Fuji School.
