This refers to the news item “Issues with respect to appointment of MD – SNGPL” appeared in the Daily times on May 1, 2020.
SNGPL condemns addition of last three paragraphs over and above the press release issued by the organization which are totally devoid of facts. It is highlighted that SNGPL doesn’t operate on basis of ethnicity and promotions / appointments are always done in a transparent manner in line with the government policy of promotion of merit. Our current Managing Director and many in the management team are Pathans but have only been promoted because they are decorated officers having proven track record of providing public service. SNGPL features large number of persons serving in key positions hailing from Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, AJK and ICT, and they work in complete harmony which is why we are among the top 25 companies in Pakistan.
Also the Board of Directors and Federal Government work in cohesion and the issue of exerting external pressure does not arise. The issue of wrong doing also doesn’t arise and there is no polarization within the Company.
