Inspector General of Police Punjab Shoaib Dastgir has strictly directed to ensure implementation of prevention and precautionary measures in the wake of rising danger of Coronavirus so that officers and officials in police offices and field for protection of wealth and properties of people may save themselves from virus.
As per directions of IG Punjab, DIG welfare Sharaq Kamal Siddiqui has sent letter all RPos, DPOs and unit chiefs of Police in which all precautionary measures have been written with details. Moreover, an awareness ceremony was held at central police office in order to prevent Central Police employees form danger of Coronavirus in which Addl IG operations Inam Ghani briefed the police officials regarding precautionary measures of Coronavirus and also directed to strictly implement it. Addl IG IAB Azhar Hameed Khokhar, AIG Admin Anwar Khaitran along with other senior officers and officials from different branches of CPO were present at this occasion.
While addressing to officials, Addl IGP Operations told that officers and officials suffering from cough, flu and fever should cover their mouth and nose with surgical masks and also avoid hugging and handshaking and close contact with each other. The person affected with flu and cough should be kept at distance of 3 feet, undue movement to crowded areas should be avoided. Nose, mouth and eyes should not touched by the hands. This virus enters into human body through nose, mouth and eye. Hands should be washed with soap in excess and keep on washing the hands for 20 seconds.
Sanitizers should be used for cleaning hands and preventing from the germs. Handles of vehicles should not be touched while traveling to any place in public transport and gloves should be put on hands. The steering and vehicle under personal use should be fixed for only one effective person. Bio-matric attendance should be halted for some period of time. Mild warm water should be taken, railing corridors and buttons of lift should not be touched and gloves should be used. Windows of the rooms of offices should be kept open and fresh air should be allowed to pass into rooms.
Toilet should be kept dried and clean and hand washing should be ensured. Application of Sanitizers in all washrooms of police stations, offices and police lines should be ensured and washing of hands and mouths should be repeated many times. Use of towels in washrooms should be avoided and tissue papers should be used instead of it. Tissue papers should also be disposed of after using it. All officers and officials should keep with themselves Sanitizers in their pockets and make it a habit to use it. The person affected with flu and nasal blockage should wear masks, wear it from right side and this should not be used for more than one day. In case of fever and flu, the doctor should be consulted at once. The disease includes the symptoms of trouble in breathing, fever, flu, cough etc. Pneumonia is also the symptom of this disease in critical condition which cause respiratory syndrome and failure of kidneys. Doctor should be consulted in case of such symptoms. Fresh fruits should be used to maximum end so that with such measures Coronavirus may be avoided. These directions and precautionary measures attached pictorial samples should be applied in all police offices, police stations and police lines and also should read to all during morning and evening count. It has further been directed to strictly implement these instructions.
