KARACHI: More than 50 suspects were taken into custody after law enforcement agencies conducted search operations in different parts of Karachi during the late hours of Monday, City Division Superintendent of Police (SP) Shehla Qureshi stated.
The operation was aimed at capturing criminals and illegal residents and was carried out in the jurisdictions of the eight police stations of the City Division which includes Eidgah, Napier, Nabi Baksh, Garden and its surrounding areas.
The officer said all entry and exit points near the mentioned areas were also sealed during the whole process.
During an operation carried out in Baldia Town, criminal Azeem was apprehended, he has counts of robberies registered against him in Baldia Town’s police station.
Three drug sellers including a foreigner were taken into custody during an operation in Nazimabad on Monday night, cash and drugs were also recovered from the suspects and cases were also registered against them under the Foreign Act and Drug Act.
Two suspects from Karimabad were also arrested during a search operation, and Gulberg SP added that stolen motorcycles and tools used to break into cars were also recovered.
