ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria has hailed the suggestion of the Trump administration to act as a mediator help resolve the long standing Kashmir issue between Pakistan and India.
While speaking to Radio Pakistan, Zakaria said that the only way to resolve Kashmir issue is dialogue which will subsequently lead towards the implementation of UN resolution for the decades-long crisis.
The spokesperson was the opinion that role of the United States would be a positive step in resolving the Kashmir issue as peace and prosperity in South Asia is extremely dependent on the settlement of Kashmir crisis.
It is pertinent to mention that recently, US Vice President-elect Mike Pence said that President-elect Donald Trump has brilliant negotiating skills which can be pivotal in resolving Kashmir issue.
