LAHORE: The second convocation of Shalamar Medical and Dental College (SMDC) was held inside the premises of the college. As many as 99 graduates were awarded degrees on the occasion.
Chief Guest Justice (r) khalilur Rehman Ramday distributed medals among the shining stars, including Ifra Naeem, who stood first. University of Health Sciences Vice Chancellor Maj Gen (r) Prof Muhammad Aslam also addressed the convocation as guest of honour. On the occasion, the students took a pledge to serve the ailing humanity.
Board of Trustees Member Shahid Hussain said that Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences has been providing quality healthcare services to the population of Lahore and outskirts since 1978 and now preparing the doctors and nursing staff on merit.
Shalamar Medical and Dental College Principal Prof Zahid Bashir congratulated the graduates on the occasion. Board of Trustees Chairman Ch Ahmad Saeed and Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences Chief Executive Brig (r) Anis Ahmed, faculty, doctors and parents of the students also attended the convocation.
