PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Senior Minister for Local Government Inayatullah has said that the first grant has been issued to the district and tehsil governments for the developmental schemes and the next grant will issued in the current month of the year.
He said that Rs 2,210 million each have been issued for district and tehsil councils of the province and Rs 3728 for neighborhood as a first grant and the process of the proposed budget would not be stopped in the coming years, an official handout said.He said that all developmental projects proposed by the district governments in their respective areas will be complete soon as the provincial government intends to make powerful the local government structure in the province. The time of corruption at the name of developmental schemes has passed away and the governments believe in the follow ups and transparency, he added. Inayatullah claimed that district Peshawar was the centre of the developmental schemes of the current government and schemes such pure water, sanitation and education would be carried out with great attention and care. He said that government was planning to resolve the traffic related issues of the Peshawar and with a comprehensive plan it will also be solved soon.
