Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the opposition parties were following anti-state elements’ agenda which had already been rejected by the people in toto. He regretted that the opposition was playing with national solidarity to hide its corruption.
He said this during a meeting with Vice-Chairman CM Complaints Cell Nasir Suleman who called on Punjab Chief Minister and apprised him about the performance.
The CM directed early redressal of pending complaints. Usman Buzdar said the performance of CM Complaints Cell was praiseworthy as immediate redressal of complaints was an important relief to the citizens. Nasir Suleman said every problem was solved by treating it as personal and the cell had been activated under the guidance of CM Usman Buzdar
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar chaired a meeting about sehat insaf card program. Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, Special Assistant Firdous Ashiq Awan, Chairman P&D, ACS (LG), Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Secretary Finance attended the meeting. The CM disclosed that the scope of sehat insaf card program will be expanded gradually.
The sehat insaf cards have been provided to more than 5.1 million deserving families in the first phase, he added. This program is aimed at facilitating the poorest by providing the best healthcare facilities to them. He disclosed that the government employees, seminaries’ students, teachers, journalists and other segments of the society will also be given sehat insaf cards as access to best treatment is the right of every citizen. No negligence in sehat insaf card program will be tolerated at any level, the CM further said.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has regretted the number of patients is increasing every day due to laxity in the observance of corona SOPs.
In a statement, the CM said the citizens should follow SOPs as the death rate is increasing. Giving the details, he said the number of active patients is 5618 while 5 patients have died and 338 confirmed patients are reported during the last 24 hours. 11873 tests were also conducted during the period, he added and said a total of 2385 have died of corona in Punjab.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed a deep sense of sorrow over the loss of lives in a traffic accident in Sargodha and extended sympathies to the bereaved heirs. He has sought a report about the accident and directed the administration to provide the best healthcare facilities to the injured.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has sought a report from police administration about school van accident at Raiwind and directed legal action against the driver. He also directed to provide best treatment facilities to the injured.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has taken notice of murder of three brothers in the area of Sialkot and sought a report from RPO Gujranwala. CM directed to immediate arrest of the accused involved in this heinous act and directed to ensure justice to the affected family at any cost.
Deputy Commissioner Okara has been removed from his post and a notification has also been issued while giving additional charge to additional deputy commissioner (r) Saba Asghar Ali of the post.
Similarly, AC (City) Depalpur has been removed on the complaints of corruption and poor cleanliness arrangements in Depalpur. Aurangzeb is posted as new AC (City) while displeasure has been shown over the performance of Secretary C&W for the slow pace in repair and maintenance of Okara-Depalpur Road. The action has been taken in the wake of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar’s surprise visits to Okara and Depalpur where some women buyers complained about non-availability of sugar and ghee. Similarly, some locals also submitted complaints about slackness in regular repair & maintenance of Okara-Depalpur Road.
In this regard, the CM has asked the government officers to adopt the policy of public service as any delay will not be tolerated.
The sahulat bazaars have been set up to facilitate the citizens and public opinion is important feedback about the usefulness of this facility, he added.
