Seven more children have died of malnutrition in Tharparkar, Health Department said on Friday. One-year-old Sala Gori, two and half year old Sala Aast, 16-year-old Vikram and two newborns expired at Civil Hospital Mithi. Eight-month-old Pinsha breathed her last at Chachro Hospital. The recent deaths have taken the death toll in Tharparkar in June to 29. According to the Health Department, every year 1,500 children die due to malnutrition, infections and lack of proper medical facilities in the remote region.
