Prime Minister Imran Khan, on Friday, broadcasted a verse from Surah Al-Baqarah in the holy Quran in his fight against the people spreading fake news. Fake news appears to have impacted Pakistani politics too as it becomes extremely rampant worldwide. In such circumstances, PM Khan tweeted the message of Quran from Surah Al-Baqarah [2: 42]. His tweet read: “And mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth while you know (the truth).” Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has already joined hands to curb the spread of fake news through a crackdown on the propagators of false information on social media.
