KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) is going to field candidates from Lyari and across Sindh in the general elections 2018. The party has decided to move the court over lack of authority of the city mayor. This was decided at a meeting chaired by Sardar Ahmed and attended by Sindh Assembly Opposition Leader Khawaja Izharul Hasan on Tuesday. The meeting also discussed political and organisational issues faced by the party. The MQM-P leadership also examined issues related to the MQM-London’s rally on January 21. Talking to reporters, Izhar said it’s the right time for the people to get rid of the blind, dumb and deaf leaders. “In the past, MQM had fielded candidate from Lyari and in next general elections, we will again pitch our candidate, but we are also examining that whether this time Pakistan People’s Party will be able to field its candidate or not,” he added.
