LAHORE: Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) cracked the Gulshan Park Lahore suicide blast case.
Two people, namely Shahidullah and Khanzeb were arrested, while raids were being conducted to arrest remaining accused. According to a spokesman of CTD Punjab, JamaatulAhrar (JUA) conducted the attack in which 72 people had died.
The accused transported the suicide bomber, namely Nasir, to Park while also facilitating his entry. The bomber was wearing a veil (burqa) at the time of blast.
Tahreek-e-Taliban JUA Chief Umar Khalid Khorasani ordered the attack. Muhammad Khan was the local coordinator and mastermind while Shaukat and Tawakkal Jan provided suicide jacket.
Nasir stayed at Hukam Khan’s house in Lahore for two days. The members of this militant organisation were temporarily based in Barkat Town, Lahore. They originally belonged to Mohmand Agency, FATA.
