The facts on removal of Firdous Ashiq Awan from her office as special assistant to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan have come to fore and a report in this regard has been presented to Imran Khan. The inquiry report said that there was no substance in the allegations under which Firdous Ashiq Awan was removed from her office. According to sources an investigation agency had conducted investigation under the orders of PM that if Firdous Ashiq Awan has any role in favouring the advertisement agency Com tek or other wise, The report disclosed that the process of registering and giving orders of work to this advertising agency had completed before the assumption of her office by Firdous Ashiq Awan. All the files pertaining to this process were sent by the then information secretary Zahida Perveen to Azam Khan principal secretary to PM directly. Such files were not shown to Firdous Ashiq Awan. Attempt was made to involve any other agency in this matter. The newly appointed head of this agency foiled this attempt soon after assuming his charge. The sources said the allegations of favouring and appointing her close relatives on key posts were not proved against Firdous Ashiq Awan. Anti Firdous Ashiq Awan lobby was behind her removal from her office. Azam Khan was heading this lobby. Shahbaz Gill was a member of this lobby. But the charges levelled against her have not been proved against Firdous Ashiq Awan.
