The Section Officer (PM&I), Health Department, Government of Sindh, Zulfiqar Ali Dars, has sent another letter to the Medical Superintendent (MS), Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH), Larkana, requesting him to keep ready record of procurement of medicines during 2019-20, details of budget allocation, details of procurement made through local purchase (15%) and through Rate Contract (85%) showing names of bidders, items, rates, date of supply received and payment released, consumption (faculty/ward wise) and current stock position.
The letter has been issued following the complaint made by the Principal, Chandka Medical College (CMC), to the health secretary against which 3-member Enquiry Committee was constituted on 13th May which will be headed by additional secretary health, Naeemuddin Mirani.
Prof Kheo Ram Dholia, Principal, CMC, had complained that PPEs are not supplied to the professors and consultants, shortage of medicines is being faced, OT instruments and air-conditioners are non-functioning and so forth.
The letter further said that details of provision of medicines to the operation theatres, machinery/equipment/OT instruments (including autoclave and air-conditioners) functioning & non-functioning, budget for repair/maintenance and complete details of repaired machinery/equipment with name of bidder, nature of repair and cost paid, working strength and details of professors, consultants, medical officers, paramedical staff (shift-wise) working in Hospital, details of supplied (stock register) of PPEs to all professors/consultants, medical officers and paramedical staff working in wards and providing services in OPDs and COVID-19 Wards with complete details of receipts and details of maintaining SOPs pertaining to COVID-19.
MS has further been requested to keep ready all above record and intimate to the concerned section officer immediately, so that the schedule of the visit of Enquiry Committee could be finalized and informed to you accordingly with further request to ensure availability of all concerned officers/officials to be present on the date of enquiry.
