Prime Minister Imran Khan today (Friday) will chair a meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) core committee at PM House.
According to the provided details, the meeting will discuss the review of the ongoing coronavirus situation. A briefing will be given to the committee over financial matters by the federal government’s economic team.
Another briefing regarding the relief package to construction industry will be given to the committee. The meeting will also discuss the all-out possibilities of providing essential commodities among the national amid lockdown.
Sources also informed that consultation will be held on government decision to deal with the coronavirus pandemic. The meeting will also review measures taken by the government to stem the spread of coronavirus in the country.
Earlier, Federal government had decided to begin work at the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) despite the rising trend of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
It was amongst the other key decisions taken during the meeting of the National Coordination Committee. Chief Ministers of all provinces, federal ministers, top military officials and chairman NDMA were present in the meeting.
So far, coronavirus has claimed lives of almost 36 people and has affected more than 2,400 people across Pakistan. Sindh and Punjab remained the worst affected provinces in the country from coronavirus.
