Two policemen were martyred when some unknown assailants opened fire on a check post in Mamozai area of District Orakzai. According to reports quoting District Police Officer, police immediately cordoned off the areas and started search operation to arrest the killers. Meanwhile, the funeral prayer of Lieutenant Agha Muqadas Ali Khan was offered in Shad Bagh area in Lahore on Thursday. Top military and civil officers along with the relatives of the martyred and locals who had gathered in larger numbers attended the prayer. The participants prayed for the departed soul. It is pertinent here to mention that Lieutenant Agha Muqadas embraced martyrdom along with three other Pakistan Army soldiers on Wednesday during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) on a terrorist hideout in Datta Khel, North Waziristan. According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), seven terrorists were killed during the exchange of fire. Security forces recovered huge cache of weapons from the hideout. Hawaldar Qamar Nadeem, Sepoy Muhammad Qasim and Tauseef were the others who were martyred.
