An official, Noor Wali Shah, was martyred and one officer sustained injuries in crossfire between the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan on Wednesday. The incident occurred in Ramak area as the CTD conducted a search operation on a tip-off about terrorists. The suspects, hiding inside a house, opened fire on the CTD. The injured official, Jahangir, was rushed to the DI Khan DHQ Hospital. Six suspects were arrested as a result of the search operation and huge cache of weapons was seized. The CTD told that one wounded terrorist managed to escape. Moreover, the funeral prayers for the martyred officer have been offered.
