A Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) enforcement team confiscated illegal equipment of a cable network on the complaint that it was airing Indian content in the provincial capital on Saturday.
During inspection, four transmitters, 12 modulators, 17 receivers, 5 computers and a network switch of Al- Saba Cable network was confiscated.
According to a press release, a show cause notice has been issued to the network.
Strict action would be taken against those cable networks which were violating the order of the Supreme Court in this regard, said PEMRA Regional General Manager Ikram Barkat.
