Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Monday said involving the prime minister in the issue of Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was low minded act and politically insincere.
In a reaction to the speech of Khawaja Asif in the National Assembly, she said: it was a matter of happiness that Khawaja Asif now accounted for the respect of an institution. Those who were using sleazy language against mothers and sisters were teaching to ignore weaknesses of others, she added.
She said those who wanted to minus the prime minister, themselves were getting minus in the political system. Dr Firdous said those who ran the whole government through unelected people were reminding about elected representatives.
During their period, the elected representatives asked unelected people to arrange their meeting with the prime minister, she added.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan further said corruption could not be hidden by hurling allegations and if Nawaz Sharif had not done corruption then he should not be hesitant to answer questions.
Reacting to a tweet of Maryam Nawaz, she said if her father Nawaz Sharif had not enjoyed luxury vehicles, there should be no issue in facing an investigation. In case of corruption, Nawaz Sharif had to undergo sentence, she added. Dr Firdous asked why a person who lived life of a Mughal king was finding it hard to face the law.
Regarding the agreements between Pakistan, China she said these were reflective of growing ties. Signing of agreements between Pakistan and China during the visit of Chinese Vice President was proof of increasing economic cooperation between the two countries.
In a tweet on social media platform twitter, she said these agreements were reflective of China’s strategic interest in progress and prosperity of people of Pakistan. She said under the leadership of Imran Khan, national interest and public welfare were given priority while in the past, personal interest and business were given preference by others.
