Foreign Office, on Wednesday, claimed that a bus carrying 51 Pakistani Zaireen had hit a security check post near Samarra, Iraq, on April 21.
A statement mentioned that 47 out of 51 passengers were in good condition, while three were hospitalised due to serious injuries.
The office was told by the Pakistani Mission in Baghdad that injured passengers had been shifted to Medical City Hospital.
The FO maintained, “Our Mission is coordinating with the Iraqi Ministry of Health and hospital administration, to ensure the provision of medical treatment to the injured.”
Passengers with minor injuries were said to have been treated and discharged.
The statement stated, “The embassy in Baghdad is arranging safe return of the pilgrims to Pakistan, in coordination with Iraqi authorities.”
