Civil society activists and relatives of divisional president of Jeay Sindh Tahreek of Karachi division Irshad Ahmed Ranjhani- who was brutally killed in jurisdiction of Shah Latif town police station Malir Karachi by a political figure- have appealed from Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan to constitute judicial inquiry on brutal murder of Irshad Ahmed Ranjhani and direct IGP Sindh Police to arrest the influential figure of the area for killing him in self defence during attempted robbery.
As the dead body of Irshad Ranjhani was brought at his house at village Markhpur in Dadu city, his mother could not help but give in to the crushing heap of unbearable grief and therefore died in a heart attack on the spot on Friday morning.
Funeral prayers of both son Irshad Ahmed Ranjhani and mother Sakina Ranjhani were offered at the village Markhpur in Dadu city after which the deceased were buried at a local graveyard Bukhari Shah in Dadu city on Friday morning.
Civil society activists and citizens reacted on the murder of Irshad Ahmed Ranjhani, staged demonstration in Dadu city and demanded from PPP Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to direct SSP Malir to arrest the killer of Irshad Ahmed Ranjhani and provide them Justice.
Speaking with daily times, younger brother of Irshad Ahmed Ranjhani, Munwar Ranhjani told that his brother was innocent and was killed by a political person of area Rahim Shah on the personal issues. He said that as soon as his brother had gotten bullets and he was calling for help and blood was oozing from his body, Rahim Shah did not allow anyone to help him take to a hospital so that he could be saved. He said that such a video of his brother Irshad Ranjhani had become viral on social media.
Another brother of Irshad Ranjhani, Akram Ranjhani said that it was clear terrorism and state remained silent. He said that Rahim Shah was making drama and issuing fake charges against his brother to protect himself.
As civil society stages demonstrations, relatives claim the divisional president died at the behest of an influential figure
He appealed chief justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan to direct IGP-Sindh for registering FIR on murder of Irshad Ranjhani against political influential figure Rahim Shah and thereby arresting him.
The protests were widely held in different parts of Dadu district by civil society activists against murder of Irshad Ahmed Ranjhani.
A large number of citizens and social activists held protest march in Dadu city, staged a demonstration before Dadu press club and demanded police to arrest Rahim Shah for allegedly conspiring to murder Irshad Ranjhani.
Syed Irfan Bhadur Shah SSP Malir, apprising police’s version to incident, told daily times on call that Rahim Shah had informed the police that he was returning from bank after drawing 3,50,000 cash and Irshad Ahmed Ranjhani was killed when he had had tried to loot him of cash along with two other his accomplices. He said that Rahim Shah had told that Irshad Ranjhani was killed during robbery attempt and such case of robbery by Rahim Shah was lodged at police station against Irshad Ranjhani on complaint of Rahim Shah. He said that investigation of this case was going on.
Heavy crowd of citizens, political activists of various political parties and activists of social organizations offered condolence with Munwar Ranjhani and Akram Ranjhani on the death of their brother Irshad Ranjhani.
Irshad Ahmed Ranjhani was the divisional president of JST-Jeay Sindh Tahreek – killed by a political figure of area allegedly/on the pretext of robbing him on late hours of Thursday in the jurisdiction of Shah Latif town police station Karachi.
