KARACHI: A police official and a civilian were shot dead in two separate incidents in the provincial capital on Wednesday.
According to police sources, the policeman, Sub Inspector Iqbal Mehmood was on his way to meet someone after receiving a phone call. However, he was shot dead by men in a car on Rashid Minhas road while en route.
Another policeman as well as a civilian sustained bullet injuries in the shooting.
A case was registered at the relevant police station in Ferozabad against unknown suspects. Details also emerged that Mehmood had been investigating anti-terrorism court cases in the area and had been involved in a heated exchange with an alleged target killer whereboth had threatened each other.
In similar news, a civilian was the victim of alleged target killing near Pardah Park.
