KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday granted an extension in the former provincial minister Sharjeel Inam Memon’s interim bail.
A two-judge bench, presided over by Justice Syed Muhammad Farooq Shah, heard the cases against Sharjeel Inam Memon.
The petitioner’s counsel informed the court that his client was ready to face the allegations in court and but he was worried that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) may arrest him.
On the occasion, the NAB prosecutor – opposing the extension in the interim bail of Sharjeel – argued that one reference against Sharjeel was registered and the bureau was enquiring two more references.
Upon unsatisfactory replies by the Bureau’s prosecutor, the court granted the former ministeran extension in the interim bail.
