Sindh’s tourism place Gorakh Hill Station could not make the feasible place in past due to the lack of facilities for tourists. But now after the appointment of Maznoor Ahmed Kanasro as DG Gorakh Hill Development Authority citizens and tourists are expecting that the said place is going to attract the tourists.
As Manzoor Ahmed Kanasro is one of the most efficient and dedicated officer BPS-20 of Sindh government that is the reason Provincial Government has given the task of Gorakh Hill Development Authority to establish.
While talking to News Reporters Manzoor Ahmed Kanasro informed that Gorakh Hill Station was declared as the tourism place in 1998 like the other hill stations of country.
He said that in very first project Cable chair lift, hospital, water filter plant, security check post , race course and other facilities were included in the project of Gorakh hill resort, now we would ensure implementation all of them.
Moreover he said in past it was claimed to spend millions of rupees to make the place more attractive for tourism but the situation was not changed. Road is now damaged as it was built in the era of General Parvez Musharaf so we are planning to renovate the road first.
In first phase we are going to provide best facilities to the tourists by making roads and installing directions board to make the way easy and reachable.
as Mini Zoo for children and women is also in consideration to attract more visitors, he added.
DG Gorakh Hill Development Authority said it is our top priority to provide employment and business opportunities to the locals and we would provide opportunity to them in horse riding , selling of different local items and souvenirs including other services.
However Eight Room guest house and four family rest house would be provided to visitors on reasonable prices after renovation. He said that in past heavy amount charge from the visitors for accommodation but now families could avail the facility in only three thousand rupees .
He also stated to ensure the quality of food for visitors with affordable prices, whereas department also working to install solar energy .
He urged the need to work on Public private partnership to make this place more attractive for visitors like Murree.
He informed to get ready the ten bedded hospital by the consultation of senior doctors from Karachi.
Manzoor Kanasro added that the website has been launched in which tourists could visit the place virtually and book online the place. He expressed that now citizens of Sindh are no more want to go Murree to enjoy snowfall they can come gorakh hill and enjoy the place .This place is attractive for visitors and it could also be the reason to generate more revenue for local residents.
