Pakistan and Bahrain have agreed to continue consultations and deliberations on all key regional issues including coronavirus.
The decision came during a telephonic conversation between Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Bahraini Counterpart Dr. Abdul Latif Bin Rashid Al-Zayani on Monday.
According to a press release issued by the Foreign Office, matters pertaining to the global coronavirus pandemic, regional and international situation were discussed.
Bahrain and Pakistan denounced terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, including state terrorism, and reaffirmed their desire to strengthen cooperation in the fight against this menace.
Expressing satisfaction regarding the growing economic cooperation between the two countries, both sides recognized the potential for greater trade and commercial exchanges and agreed to take all necessary steps to increase the volume of bilateral trade.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi also expressed gratitude to Bahrain for extending cooperating in repatriating stranded Pakistani prisoners following COVID-19.
On the other hand, Bahrain Foreign Minister supported Prime Minister Imran Khan’s call for debt relief to developing countries.
Bahrain Foreign Minister also lauded the efforts made by the Pakistani community in the progress and development of Bahrain.
